We are situated 10km out of Parkes which is home to the famous Dish and the annual Elvis Festival, held the second week in January. Set on a gentle slope, it boasts picturesque views of the surrounding mixed farmland, tranquil dams and lush native vegetation for you to enjoy. Guests are offered access to stroll around our 18acre property by foot only. Vehicles are to be kept at the campsite however. There are a couple of logs up the top of the hill that you can see from the campground. This is a great spot to wander up and enjoy a drink at sunset. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times. We do have 2 dogs, Jack and Rusty, chooks and guinea fowls and the nature of the property abundant wildlife may be present. We breed silkie chickens so while you’re wandering around, you may see different ages of chickens in the fenced yard behind the shed ~ they’ll enjoy any food scraps you have too! Guests are welcome to enjoy a campfire in the designated area during the winter months when local regulations permit. The statutory Bush Fire period is from 1st October to 31st March. Firewood is available, however we kindly ask for a small donation please. A chemical toilet and hot shower is available for your convenience. An honesty pay by use cash system $5/shower. No electricity in the shed (yet) so will require you to take a torch with you at night. Generators may be used during daylight hours only. If kicking back and reading is your thing, then we’ve got you sorted! We have a bush library and information board available. Test your skills on some bush riddles, trivia and card games that you will find in the library. A basketball hoop, frisbee & quoits available too. Due to the variation of guest camp set ups, sites are not designated & remain unmarked so feel free to set up where suits you best. When entering the driveway, the campground is in the paddock on the left. Please keep an eye on you kids as we have 3 dams. We look forward to you visiting.
