Achacha Fruit Plantation
Description
The unique Achacha Fruit Plantation is located right on the Bruce Highway 45km south of Townsville at 34338 Bruce Highway, Mt Surround (Giru). Note: çoming from south enter direct from highway - do not take diversion indicated on some web maps! It is the world's first and largest grower (15,000 trees) of the Achacha tropical fruit. Self contained, private van sites are located at different locations within the picturesque 100ha site. Certified organic and biodynamic. Farm tours included in overnight fee. Seasonal products, Achacha flower honey and firewood available. $30/van first night, then $15/van for extra nights; power/bathroom $5/night extra. Emphasis on regenerative agriculture. Please call in advance to book. Vans can be safely left here at $15/night should you wish to visit Magnetic Island. All vans must be self-contained but we do have one powered site with bathroom facilities.
