STAY AT HORIZONS KANGAROO SANCTUARY & CAMP GROUND Long term & Short term stays With our world turned on its head recently & with the uncertainty, we are pleased to announce we now have long term sites available. Park up for a while and ride out the storm in a little piece of paradise. Where are we? Agnes Water is a beautiful coastal town located between Bundaberg & Gladstone. Who are we? We are dedicated wildlife carers having spent many years rehabilitating & releasing orphaned and injured kangaroos. While not currently taking in orphans, we are still involved with the welfare of the wildlife in the area. The property is 10 acres and about a 7 minute drive to town. The atmosphere is very quiet, peaceful & relaxed with an abundance of wildlife & it is a birders paradise. Amenities include powered sites, water (fill tank only no water connection), fully equipped amenities block with kitchen, showers & toilets. Large verandah & deck with amazing views, communal fire pit (wood supplied). Who can stay? Adults, teenagers (not really suitable for young children). No pets. All types of transport welcome - Caravans (not over 19 feet), Motorhomes, Off Road Camper Trailers, Campervans, RTT, Tents. The area - situated on the southern end of the great barrier reef Agnes Water boasts pristine beaches (we have turtle nesting sites), Lady Musgrave Island & Lady Elliot Island are both açcessable from here. We are surrounded by national parks - Deepwater & Eurimbula. It's a pretty laid back chilled vibe here & the town provides all you need - supermarkets, chemist, doctors, tavern, lots of cafes & restaurants.
