Description

Explore the coastline near the famous pink lake, experience deserted beaches, sand dunes, and rocky outcrops. Stop for nature and wildlife interpretation, photographs, and walks close to the vehicle. Sustainable tourism ... for small groups, getting back to nature. There is no other place like the remote Far West of SA for short adventures, feel the spirit of this ancient land with our knowledgeable guide on 4WD tours to coastal parks not previously available. Our tours explore relatively undisturbed coastal dune systems with associated samphire community and mallee woodland. Such ecosystems provide unique opportunities to glimpse traces of the spinifex hopping mouse, short-beaked echidna, and other animals. There are unparalleled photography and bird watching opportunities, and we may be lucky to see native animals including dingoes, wombats, and kangaroos. When coastal plants flower and fruit, they add an extra dimension and interest in a semi-arid landscape. From May to October, marine mammals including the Southern Right Whale can be seen from cliffs. Your guide Steve has been exploring the Far West of SA for nearly 30 thirty years. He is an expert in the caves and country of the Far West and the Nullarbor and is passionate about building knowledge of this extraordinary place through observation and exploration. Steve is a keen amateur photographer, palaeontologist, and anthropologist. Think outside the square, plan a holiday at home just like an overseas one. Get out, explore our country, and book something exciting. Consider a road trip, an adventure-based activity, a cultural tour, get out with nature through a guided tour. There has never been a better opportunity to plan that perfect nature getaway. Ancient Land Tours is a fully accredited and licenced business operating out of Ceduna, SA.
