Basedow Haus welcomes guests to celebrate 120 years of history with all the classic charm and contemporary comfort of our home.
This fully restored accommodation offers two spacious king-sized bedrooms for up to four people. Many original features throughout include lace work verandah, Baltic pine floors and pressed metal ceilings. A formal lounge and wood combustion heater provides ambience for a cosy winter evening.
The new, light filled extension offers an open living space with fully equipped kitchen, large country style dining and informal sitting area with large feature windows, along with contemporary bathroom designed with a relaxing bath and shower room with separate toilet. The outdoor alfresco area with BBQ is ideal for drinks on a balmy evening watching the sunset.
Perfectly positioned overlooking the historic Chateau Tanunda, guests will be able to experience the changing seasons of its vineyards.
Basedow Haus is centrally located in an historic precinct of Tanunda, with the regional arts centre and main street with award-winning dining and cafés, and other amenities all a short stroll away and a perfect place to experience all the Barossa offers.
The front verandah and large private back garden area with pergola and al fresco dining area offers many spots to sit and relax, and take in the delights of the established gardens, and views to distant hills and big skies.
