Description

Located 13km west of Charlton, the Wooroonook Lakes were an important source of water in Charltons early settlement and the site of plenty of fishing, swimming and boating for over 100 years. This low cost campsite offers excellent facilities including 10 powered sites, unpowered sites, an amenities block, BBQ, playground and a pontoon. **please do not camp on the lawn area or on the waters edge in front of powered sites** Money collected via fees is put towards purchase of water to keep the lake at a safe and usable level as well as beautifying and improving the foreshore. **Water is not drinkable from any of the taps.** The water is quote "not drinkable" be very wary about hooking up the water, if it not drinkable it will contaminate what potable water you have inyour tanks Hot showers 3minute timer 2 minute wait. flushing toilets and wash basins with powerpoints in toilets.
