Mellenbye Station Stay is a working cattle station located approximately 60 km east of Morawa in Western Australia’s Midwest. We offer a peaceful outback stay with camping, accommodation and plenty of space to relax and explore. Our station is surrounded by beautiful breakaway country, seasonal lakes, native wildlife and spectacular wildflowers, with the famous wreath flowers putting on a beautiful display during wildflower season. Camping is available for self-contained campers, with plenty of space to find your own peaceful spot. We also have toilets and showers available near the shearing shed and camping areas. We are an off-grid working station, so visitors should come prepared for a true country experience. There is no mobile phone reception on the station and no powered camping sites currently available. We have water available, however the station water is quite salty, so we recommend bringing your own drinking water. Firewood can be collected from around the property, and there are plenty of quiet spots to sit back, enjoy the stars and experience station life. 4WD is not required to reach Mellenbye, although it is recommended if you plan to explore further around the station. Dogs are welcome in designated camping areas subject to our station rules and 1080 baiting requirements. Horses may also be accommodated by prior arrangement, provided appropriate insurance and a waiver are in place.
