Description

We are located 14kms from Nungarin town and 25km from Mukinbudin town. The Mangowine Homestead is approximately 4km at the end of Williams Road (towards Karomin Road). There is a local Cafe/Grocery/Hardware/Camping store in Nungarin, as well as shops in Mukinbudin. Alcohol and dine-in/takeaway meals can be purchased from the Woolshed Hotel in Nungarin. Our farm is a private property, and our home (so we act as the live-in caretakers). We have cleared an area within the light bushland on our property to accomodate several motorhomes/caravans/camper trailers/tents and swags. There is a shared sink area close to the camping area, as well as a large communal undercover firepit. We have one basic flushing toilet facility connected to a septic tank, and potable scheme water available at the sink area. There are no shower facilities on-site. Ground covering is mainly dirt, with some patches of mowed weeds. During wetter days, people must be careful when walking around the farm, as the ground is clay based and can get very slippery. We don't have powered sites available, and all visitors are asked to be self sufficient with their food, drinks, showers, etc. If you wish to utilise a caravan sullage point for your waste, you will need to use the one provided within the Nungarin town (across from Radcliffe Park on the opposite side of Nungarin-Wyalkatchem Road). We also have a few individual firepits scattered around the campsite. There are a couple of barbeques located near the communal firepit that are free to use (just ensure you clean them after you use them). Bins are located near the communal firepit area as well. The property owner (Adam) is an Australian Military Veteran with 18 years of Service, and is very particular about the safety of everyone that stays on the farm. There are often families with young children that come and visit, to enjoy the safe relaxing atmosphere. Pets are welcome, as long as they are kept on lead at all times.
