The Palace Hotel
Description
Ideally located at the entrance to the town, this Grand Red Brick Heritage building gives an insight to the Towns former Gold Rush Glory. Built in 1911, it still houses stunning original led light windows, 4m high ceilings and beautiful woodwork. Recently renovated by the new owners The Palace Hotel Southern Cross is a National Treasure well worth a visit.
There is a fully licensed Bar and Restaurant open 7 nights a week with tasty, wholesome homemade food, a bottle-shop for take-away drinks, and a beer garden.
All of the 87 rooms have Reverse cycle air-con/heat, Free Wi-fi, flat screen smart TVs and Tea/Coffee making facilities.
There are different categories of rooms with rates start at $90/night:
– Triple and Queen rooms with private bathrooms on the ground floor.
– Single, Queen, Twin, Triple and Family rooms with shared bathroom facilities on the 1st floor.
– 55 King Single rooms and private bathrooms.
For longer stays we have a workers camp with Room & meal packages.
